This has been the most amazing week so far, and it’s not even Wednesday yet!
Today, People Magazine ran a story about Buckley’s Story and me on their PeoplePets.com site. I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful presentation of my book. The story titled What Can You Learn from a Terminall Ill Cat? To Live in the Moment is a perfect example of one of the primary lessons Buckley taught me. It brings me such joy to know that my little cat keeps on teaching, and that her reach is growing beyond anything I could have imagined when I first wrote her story.
Also today, Peter Wolf reviewed Buckley’s Story on Moderncat - the review is one of the most thoughtful and comprehensive ones the book has received. It’s such a wonderful feeling to realize that the book is resonating with others on so many levels.
And this week, I’m getting ready for the Cat Writers Association Meeting in White Plains, NY. I’ve been looking forward to this meeting ever since I began writing Buckley’s Story, and I can’t wait to meet my fellow cat writers, attend a series of seminars, and visit the Westchester Cat Show where I’ll be signing books on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. I’m especially excited to finally get to meet Clea Simon, who gave me such a wonderful endorsement for Buckley’s Story. It’s pretty heady stuff when an author you’ve admired for years provides an endorsement for your book!
So as far as dreams coming true, this week is definitely up there at the top of the list of best weeks ever!
