Ingrid,
How beautiful. And what a timely tribute to Amber. It is amazing how well our four-leggeds support us when we need them the most.

Thanks for sharing your story about Princess, Ace. These animals are just amazing, aren't they?

Bernadette, this was rather timely, wasn't it. We are fortunate to have had cats like your Kublai and my Feebee in our lives, that's for sure.

How beautiful--and how timely! I needed a good cry to wash out my tired eyes too. My Kublai filled much the same role as FeeBee, and my painting "Are You Looking at Me?" reminds me how often he had to make fool of himself to break my dark mood.

Our pets are so good at feeling our pain, and they are such a comfort to us when things look so dark and dismal!! When I was recovering from the death of my Mom AND the long-needed end of an abusive relationship, I'd come home at night after work and cry cry cry as soon as I got in the door. Princess would come to greet me and would look at me with such a compassionate, quizzical and sad look on her face!!
One day after I had been out, instead of returning home, I was so filled with sadness that I had to drive around aimlessly for about ten minutes. When I got home, my roommate said "Princess started crying and crying about ten minutes ago and she would not stop! I tried giving her all her toys but she kept on crying!" THAT was when I ralized that I was hurting HER and that I had to get a grip on my emotions and stop crying and just ENJOY the love that Princess and I had for one another.
