Book Groups
One of the joys of reading is discussing a book with other readers. Book groups can enhance and broaden the reading experience, and the following questions and discussion topics are offered as suggestions for your book group.
If you would like Ingrid King to speak with your book group via conference call, please contact her to schedule a date and time.
- Buckley taught Ingrid many lessons over the short time that she was in Ingrid’s life. Which lesson would you say was the most profound for her, and why?
- Will you apply some of Buckley’s lessons to your own life? If so, which one(s)?
- Ingrid credits Buckley with helping her take the leap to leave her job and start her own business. Have you ever had an animal help you make a major life decision?
- Ingrid shares a lot of information about caring for Buckley through her illness. Have you had to care for a terminally ill cat? How has the experience changed you?
- Have you had animal teachers in your life? What lessons have they taught you?
- Losing a pet is a devastating experience, and Ingrid shares her story of how she coped with losing Buckley and the grief that followed. Which of Ingrid’s suggestions on how to cope with grief did you find the most helpful?
- What was your favorite story about Buckley? Which was the most touching?
