Happy Thanksgiving from
Allegra, Ruby and Ingrid

I keep a gratitude journal all year long, but I do spend a little extra time on Thanksgiving reflecting on everything I’m thankful for. There’s also my Thanksgiving ABC’s tradition, which I shared on Sunday. Of course, Allegra and Ruby top the list of who I’m grateful for every year – followed by you, our Conscious Cat readers!

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

  1. Happy Thanksgiving dear ones! We’re a bit behind in wishing everyone a wonderful day, but every day is a day to give thanks! Love and purrs from Deb and the Zee/Zoey gang.

  2. I’m very grateful for the important, entertaining and helpful information I’ve seen here. It has helped make me a better kitty mommy. Thank you, Ingrid!

  3. I am thankful all 7 of our “babies” are healthy and happy. We lost our old (at least 18, possibly as old as 21) Tuxedo boy “8Ball” in July and my just turned 3 Bearded Dragon “Griffon” the month before, unexpectantly. Been a rough few months. I love this site and enjoy reading the posts. Happy “Fangsgiving” !!

  8. My little tortie girl stopped eating on Thursday. Back and forth to the vets’ she went, until she was finally in the 24 hour veterinary clinic. I called her regular all-feline vet on Monday and by the time we got there, she was shaking in fear. We arranged for an ultrasound, and when they called me back, the news wasn’t good: pockets of fluid everywhere, thickened stomach lining, thickened intestines…it all sounded very bad. The vet said perhaps it was cancer, and I cried. About noon today, they did a little needle biopsy…and the fluid was practically gone. The vet showed me the before and after ultrasounds. You’d scarcely know it was the same cat! She must have been on the right set of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, and now she was on a wet version of the dry hp food she had been on for her IBS…and loved it. No diarrhea, no vomiting, and she licked the plate clean. Now she is at home on her medical regimen, on wet food that will help her tired little guts rest. She is very happy to be home, to get brushed, and to sleep on her own sofa, and I’m happy to see her looking rested and healthy. So we are going to have a very, very happy Thanksgiving.

  9. Although it is our first Thanksgiving without our big man we are grateful for the rest of our crew and their health. They’ve gotten me through a heartbreaking year and I’m forever thankful for them. We wish you a peaceful and Happy Thanksgiving.
