Hi everyone, it’s Allegra! I’m ten years old today!

Mom says she can’t believe how fast time goes by. She looks at me and still sees the seven-month-old kitten she brought home more than nine years ago. The photo below shows me the day I came home.

Ruby: Look at that giant cake! You asked for tuna cake, right?

Allegra: Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t, little one…

Ruby: I hope it’s tuna! Tuna is the best! And what’s that number on top? That’s kind of a big number, isn’t it? Allegra, you’re OLD!

Allegra: Bobs Ruby on the head.

Ruby: Hey! I just call it like I see it! You know I’m just kidding, right, Allegra? I love you, big sis!

Allegra: I love you, too, little one. Now let’s go see if that cake is really tuna, shall we?

  2. Thank you for all the birthday wishes! The birthday princess had a purrfect day, filled with lots of treats, naps, and even though the day started out cloudy, the sun came out later in time for her favorite sun puddle location!

  10. Happy Birthday, beautiful, Allegra. I remember my tortie, Jasmine when she turned 10. Spry as ever! Everytime I’d turn the stereo on she’d jump from pillar to post around the house. So funny! Hope you had a wonderful day, Allegra. <3

  29. Happy Happy Birthday, sweet Allegra. You keep getting more and more beautiful. I find that the gold in a tortie’s fur becomes more pronounced as they get older. Such a pretty girl you are. I hope you have many, many more birthdays.

Two days ago, I enjoyed a meal consisting of a special kind of fish, loach, that in Swedish is called “Vättern-röding” – It was so good and I send you and imaginary meal of that fish because I think you would enjoy it just as much as Tuna cake.
