Allegra-snow

Hi everyone, it’s Allegra! We had some fun here earlier this week – we got snow! Mom had been talking about being sad about not having had any for a while, and I could tell how happy she was when we woke up Monday morning and it was snowing really hard.

I was happy that Mom was happy, but mostly, I just slept in my favorite bed. But halfway through the morning, I decided to check things out.

I never got all that excited about snow, Ruby was the one who always tried to catch snowflakes. Maybe she was whispering in my ear to try it?

As you can see, I was quite fascinated. And if you’re wondering what happened at the end? I’ll never tell….

Kitties, do you like snow?

A note from Ingrid: I have no idea what sent Allegra running off at the end of this clip. There was nothing on the deck that could have startled her and no loud noise. Whatever it was only existed in her own mind.

  1. i am glad Allegra loved the snow, she can all she wants. i think it is pretty but it leaves a mess, causes many car accidents, and i cant get out when it snows.

  2. Gee, Allegra, you really did have that white stuff, unfortunately I saw not 1 flake. Did you go outside and romp in the snow, or did you just stay inside and watch the sparkly flakes dance around? It was nice chatting with you again my sweetheart!

  3. We were to get snow on that day also but not a flake fell. It went further south. We are expecting snow Thursday night into Friday and I’m singing Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!! Tasha will sit for a while watching the snow fall, then will fall asleep. It must be relaxing for her.

  4. On a snowy day, there is nothing better than relaxing in a comfy chair with a cup of hot chocolate and seeing my kitties at the window, watching the snowflakes come down. Allegra is so adorable!

  5. Now I am curious what happened at the end of the video. We rarely get snow here, but last February we got a lot. The girls were fascinated by it. But they didn’t like how cold it got laying in their favorite windows.

  6. My Winston will sit by the window for hours watching the birds, people come and go, leave’s swirling, different kinds of weather, and cars roaring by. There is no shortage of sounds, smells, and activities for him to enjoy. Dawn, on the other hand, prefers to play with one of her seven toy mice and uses one or two of the mice, and starts with her hacky-sack maneuvers. She’ll toss the mouse/mice up in the ear and bat it around for 15 minutes at a time. Otherwise, she’s behind the bedroom door, waiting to pounce when Winston enters the bedroom or fast asleep in one of her many spaces. They share so many spaces, but each has a couple of nooks where they don’t share. They also share a strange quirk. Both will stare at some things I just can’t see. I wonder what that’s all about.

    • Uh oh, sorry. I meant “leaves” not Leave’s” and “air” not “ear”. Spell check didn’t catch ’em.
