Even though Ruby has been gone more than two years after being diagnosed with advanced kidney disease, I still miss my little girl so much, it actually feels like a physical ache sometimes. I’m grateful I have eight years of Ruby’s Reflections on this site to comfort me and remind me of some of the cute things she did when the pain hits, and I love sharing the memories with you.
Today’s memory goes back to April of 2012. Ruby had been with us for about a year when she decided she was going to help me with stain removal during house cleaning. Of course, Ruby being Ruby, she got herself in a little bit of trouble!

I wasn’t aware Ruby was into cleaning the house where she lived, played and liked to create wild crazy situations. But then again, everyone even felines have hidden behaviors that pop out now and then. It was really loving of Ruby wanting to help Mom, but then again may the truth be told, Ruby always did start out fine and dandy, but somehow landed
in a bucket full of problems. Oh, well! That was Ruby and we all loved her very much, as we still do.
Ahh Ruby, Mommy’s little helper. She was a sweetheart. It’s nice that you have all those memories of her.
