I love seeing more and more cat product companies taking into account that their products do not just have to please cats, they also have to make the human happy. Because let’s face it, if you relegate that ugly piece of cat furniture into a part of your home that you rarely use, chances are your cat isn’t going to use it, either.

Tuft + Paw’s mission, “to provide comfort and delight for cats and humans,” is reflected in every single one of their gorgeous and high-quality products. We previously reviewed their Nuzzle bed, which Allegra has been practically living in since we got it earlier this year. I was delighted when they offered to send us their Kip Cat Cushion, shown in the photo above.

Kip Cat Cushion features

This cushion is made from molded foam covered in faux shearling, with an ultrasuede base to keep it from sliding around on hard floors. This is a firm bed that will hold its shape, ideal for cats who don’t like to sink into their beds.

It comes in two sizes, small and medium. The small size is recommended for cats weighing less than 12 pounds. We received the small cushion, which is the purrfect size for 10 pound Allegra.

Putting the Kip Cat Cushion to the test

It took Allegra about two seconds after I put the Kip Cushion down to climb in and proceed to take a thorough bath.

After the bath, she settled and observed the room from her new vantage point.

When I checked on her a few minutes later, she was curled up and fast asleep.

I like this cushion a lot. To me, it feels like what a really good mattress would feel like – firm, but comfortable support.

Little Dip Cat Bowl

We also received a Little Dip Cat Bowl for review.

In addition to just simply looking beautiful, the shallow, wide design of this bowl prevents whisker fatigue. The slightly elevated base plate reduces neck strain and also serves as a bit of a drip catcher from enthusiastic eaters. The bowl measures 1.5 inches high with a 6 inch diameter. The bowl comes in grey (shown above) and white.

5 Comments on Review: Tuft + Paw Kip Cat Cushion and Little Dip Cat Bowl

  1. These beds look like something my cats would enjoy and the dish looks very kitty friendly too.

May I make a suggestion regarding all cat beds? Could the manufacturers of kitty beds please design a removable cover that can be washed in hot water and dried in the dryer? I find that no matter how much I brush my cats, loose hair accumulates in a well loved bed very quickly, making it necessary to clean the bedding often. Throwing a old towel or sheet on the bed ruins the look of the bed, so a washable cover specially made for the bed would be most appreciated. I know that I love getting into bed with fresh clean bedding, and I’m certain all cats would love to do the same.

  2. Allegra always makes me smile in that she is such a wonderful model as she “demonstrates” her interest and love for the items you are introducing us to. The cushion is lovely and something that any kitty would love to curl up in. The nuzzle bed would be great for a chilly day to keep any drafts away. I especially like the feeding bowl. Whisker fatigue is a real thing and kitties want something to eat from that doesn’t irritate them as that can turn them away from their food. Great item! Thanks for sharing these ideas.

  3. I like the design of this bed. I don’t know how my girls would feel about this design as I have never tried anything other than the squishy type beds.
