When it comes to feeding your cat, the less processed her food is, the better it is for her health. A raw diet is the least processed of all feline diets, and raw feeding is becoming more and more mainstream as cat parents look for alternatives to highly processed pet foods. I’ve been feeding raw for the past ten years, and have seen all of my cats thrive on it. For the past six years, I’ve been feeding Darwin’s, and it has become a perennial favorite.

Darwin’s Natural Pet Food

Darwin’s is doing everything right, both in terms of what’s in the food and what’s not:

  • 100% meat – no animal-by-products or fillers
  • Ethically sourced human grade ingredients from farms they trust
  • Formulated under the guidance of veterinary nutritionists
  • Free range, pasture raised, cage-free meats
  • No GMO
  • No steroids
  • No hormones
  • Made fresh: you will receive your meals 4-6 weeks from production
  • Ready to serve

Delivered right to your door

Darwin’s is packed in eco-friendly packaging with dry ice to ensure that food is shipped and delivered safely. The packaging can be recycled or composted. They offer a convenient autoship schedule so you’ll never have to worry about running out of food. The timing of delivery is flexible, and Darwin’s friendly customer service team will gladly adjust your schedule as needed.

Feeding Darwin’s is as easy as opening a can

The food come packaged in convenient 8 ounce sealed packs. It takes about 24 hours for one pack to thaw in the refrigerator, so feeding is no harder than feeding canned food. The only difference is that instead of opening a can, you’re defrosting a pack of food.

  4. I love Darwins and with 4 cats eating it any amount of free food is a big help! I would also donate to whatever local rescue in our area is actually able to use the raw food for their kitties so most likely a kitty in foster care or several kitties in foster care with CVRR or another local rescue.

  5. I would love t have my two cats on Darwin’s .
My local shelter is PAWS, john Street, Camden, ME 04843

And if the cats did not like it, then I could donate my portion to PAWS

  6. I would donate to Fayette Friends of Animals in Uniontown, PA. They are a no kill shelter, and receive no funding other then donations.

  7. Cricket Little Paws loves Darwins. If we win, we would select Humane Society of Sonoma County – Santa Rosa to receive the gift. Thanks Darwins!

  8. I would love to try this for my girls. If they don’t like it, I’m sure one of my sister’s cats would. If I win, I would donate to Little Orphan Animals in Peekskill, NY

  9. I already feed Darwin’s Raw to my once-feral kitty and would love the opportunity to offer my winning ‘prize’ to Felines & Friends New Mexico, a cat rescue.

  10. We recently adopted Lilly from the Lynchburg (VA) Humane society. I would like her to try raw food. Lynchburg Humane Society would receive the donation.

  11. New Hope Animal Shelter in Florida This is a true No Kill shelter that often takes in cats from hoarding situations and from Kill Shelters that are at their max capacity.

  12. I would like to try raw food. I have 2 seniors and 1 feral with herpesvirus. They deserve healthy food. I am a senior citizen and also caretake 21+ ferals.. Any possibility you can send me a small sample to try for my housecats…would appreciate it and thank you .

  13. I’ve been feeding Darwin’s for a little while now. They send me 2 lb. packets, so I wish I could get the 8 oz. packets instead. But my cat loves the food!

  14. I have been thinking about trying a raw diet for one of my cats. After doing a great deal of research, I think Darwin’s is the best choice for a raw diet. I would love to win that giveaway!

  15. Good Morning! I would love too try this on my cats. If they don’t care for it. I have plenty of strays outside that I feed.

  16. My cat has allergy issues and he did very well on Darwin’s lamb for several years – until they stopped making it. We received a very perfunctory cancellation notice and no attempt to woo us to another protein. If you need a novel protein for whatever reason, Darwin’s no longer offers that option.
In all the time we used Darwin’s, we had only two delayed shipments where product was too far defrosted to consume safely. Darwin’s didn’t cause the delay obviously, but they were great to work with on refunding the damaged shipments.
One other thing to keep in mind, If you only have one cat who is a small breed like mine and does not require a lot of food to stay at optimal weight, an 8 oz, packet may take longer than 2 days to finish. 48 hours defrosted in the fridge is my max limit for safety. I would partially defrost an 8 oz. packet, cut out 6 oz. to use immediately and refreeze the remainder for later. This was a bit of a pain and something to consider when buying Darwin’s.
