It’s been a while since I shared a Ruby memory with you! Even though she’s been gone for almost five years, I still miss her every single day. I’m grateful I have eight years of Ruby’s Reflections on this site to comfort me and remind me of some of the cute things she did. Today’s memory is a conversation between her and Allegra about sharing my lap.

I called Ruby my velcro kitten. If she had had her way, she would have been permanently glued to me 24/7. She was never thrilled to share my lap with Allegra, even if she sometimes did it grudgingly.

5 Comments on Remembering Ruby: That Time When Ruby Learned to Share My Lap With Allegra

  1. Very sweet Ingrid. We all must learn to share laps. Once, I lived with many critters. When I would come home from work they would all come running to greet me. I would open the door so the rooster could run in and eat all the leftover cat food. Then, since I was pooped, we would all pile into bed and take a nap: 2 cats, a rabbit, a rooster, and a big dog on the floor next to the bed. Family is what shows up at your door so you may as well cuddle into it and be grateful..
