
Before I get into the technical stuff, let me first extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for being part of our Purrs of Wisdom community by subscribing to our updates via email. Allegra and I love you!
You are who I write for. You are the motivation behind everything I do and have been doing for the past 15 years with this website, and with The Conscious Cat before that. Nothing makes me happier than to hear that something I wrote helped your cats and you live a better, happier, healthier life.
Over the last couple of months, I’ve heard from a number of you that you haven’t been receiving our email updates regularly or stopped receiving them altogether. That’s because there have been some changes by Mailchimp, the platform I use to send you Purrs of Wisdom updates, and instead of sending from my email, they’ve been sending from Mailchimp’s domain. That’s a lot of technical speak for basically saying that some email providers may consider our emails spam and either dump them in your spam folder, or block them altogether.
As of today, our email updates will be sending from [email protected]
This should deliver our emails directly to your inbox, but to be sure, please whitelist that email address. We hope that this change will ensure that all of you will get our emails every day without any issues.

I have been getting your emails, they never go to spam. I try to read them all, even weeks after I get them. I just have a lot of personal things going on. Thank you. Thanks for the update. I will be sure and check my spam just in case.

I also have been getting two Purrs of Wisdom every day, just like I had been getting two of Conscious Cat, one provides the complete column, the other a paragraph or synopsis and a link to read the rest of the column. … just saying. I thought it was a glitch applying only to me.
Unfortunately, what we just fixed will probably not address the duplicate emails, Abby. I’m not sure why that’s happening, and haven’t heard anyone else mention that. Could you forward each of the two messages you get to [email protected]? I’ll see if we can fix it!

I know it is frustrating for those who love your newsletters to not be able to get them. Thank you for fixing it. I actually get 2 newsletters every day. One just says Purrs of Wisdom and the other Purrs of Wisdom with Ingrid King. I guess I should consider myself lucky in this case. I would be sad if I missed an update from you or Allegra.
I’m not sure why you’re getting two messages. Could you forward both to me so I can troubleshoot it?
I just looked and the info I gave you is the header, not the actual email address. I got one from [email protected] and the other email is [email protected]. But I am not concerned. I would rather get 2 emails than none at all.
Ah, that’s because at some point along time ago, you subscribed via wordpress.com. That explains it.
