How is it possible that it’s been more than five years since I had to say goodbye to my precious little Ruby girl. Thankfully, beyond memories of her living in my heart forever, I also have many of them captured here on this site, and they provide so much comfort.
Today we’re going all the way back to Ruby’s first post on The Conscious Cat in May of 2011. She had been with us about three weeks, and had settled in beautifully.

What an adorable story, written by Ruby. She must have been something when you adopted her, full of love, but loved to play and chase down her big sister. I bet that was fun watching them play together. Thank you for sharing Ruby with us. She was a cutie.

Thank you for reposting Ruby’s first reflection. When she arrived at your house, it was still two years before I found “The Conscious Cat”, so this was my first time reading her first post. We all love and miss Ruby along with you. And it’s hard to believe she’s been gone for five years.
