Last week I shared my love for diamond painting and a Cat Suncatcher DIY kit with you. Today, I’m sharing another super cute kit that is purrfect if you’ve always wanted to try diamond painting but aren’t sure whether you’re going to enjoy it. The Cat Bookmark DIY Diamond Painting Kit contains templates for three bookmarks.
What is diamond painting?
It’s kind of like a combination of paint-by-number and cross-stitch. You apply hundreds of tiny sparkling resin “diamonds” to an adhesive, color-coded canvas. The result is a sparkly, shimmering work of art. “It requires minimal effort and can be extremely addictive as this creative outlet is great for relaxation, stress relief, and overall mental health,” says Jennifer Chu, director of sales and e-commerce for Diamond Art Club.
I can definitely testify to this being addictive, but as far as addictions go, I think this is probably a good one to have!
Cat Bookmark Kit
A dear friend gave me this kit for Christmas. It took me about an hour to do one bookmark. My previous projects are all large canvases, so it was fun to work on a small project that I could finish in one session.
The kit includes everything you need to complete the project. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with detailed instructions, but this short video from Diamond Art Club gives you a good introduction.
The kit comes in two different cat designs, and many other designs as well.

The little lion makes me smile every time I look at the picture. It’s a smaller project with only 23,000 diamonds (my previous projects were about 50,000 diamonds.) It’s so much fun working with 44 different shades of pink!

As someone who has done diamond painting for years, I agree with Ingrid that diamond painting is very addictive and fun. If you haven’t tried diamond painting yet, these bookmarks are a great way to begin.

I am really thinking about doing the bookmarks. I liked doing the paintings years ago, but they were too time consuming for me. The bookmarks are small enough that I can get them done quicker.
