I’m certainly not the target audience for children’s books, but I still enjoy flipping through illustrated books for kids as long as they have cats in them. Why Can’t My Brother Be More Like My Cat is a charming little book with quirky images.

Illustrated by New York Times bestselling illustrator Lee Wildish with text by Allia Zobel Nolan, this book features a little girl who compares her cat to her brother – and it won’t come as a surprise to anyone who keeps coming up short.

My guess would be that little girls who love cats and have an annoying big brother will enjoy this little book. Adults will enjoy the sweet illustrations.

  1. Cute. I have 2 much older brothers who were always picking on me. I also have a much older sister. We no longer communicate at all. We never got along even as kids. I always wished my much older brothers and sister were loving and kind.
