Hi everyone, it’s Allegra! Today is my 15th Adoption Anniversary! Fifteen years ago today, Mom brought me home to live with her and Amber. Sadly, I never got to know Amber really well, because she passed away six weeks after I arrived. Then it was just Mom and me for almost a year before Ruby joined our family and we spent eight too short years together before Ruby got sick and left us December of 2019.
I can’t believe that Mom and I have been together for 15 years! Little did I know how amazing my life would turn out when she first came to see me at the animal hospital where I was staying after I was rescued.
Even though I’ll be 16 years old in August, and dealing with some health issues, I still feel and act like that little kitten a lot of the time.
Today Mom and I are going to snuggle even more than on a normal days, and there will be lots of treats, and I’m going to have some tuna cake in Ruby’s memory!
Allegra, you are one lucky kittie. You were adopted by a wonderful person and had a lovely sister for a short period of time. And then you got another sister, even though Ruby passed away early, much too soon. So now you are an only child and get all of the wonderful attention. Happy 15th Adoption Day.

My Millie will be 18 tomorrow! Sadly we lost her sister at 17 1/2 last Fall. But Mills, although she can no longer hear, is going strong for an old lady cat.

My 20-year old precious kitty died on March 20. I miss her so much. I volunteer at an animal shelter. I’m pretty much a cleaning lady for the cats. I am adopting a bonded pair that were dumped at the door of our shelter. One of them is a Tortie. The other girl is a brown tabby. Happy Anniversary beautiful Allegra!
