Hi everyone, it’s Allegra! I want to tell you about something new and fun that Mom got for us. It’s a little tree! Right in our living room!

Mom says it’s called a birch tree, but that it’s not real. The photo of me showing it off doesn’t really do it justice. Mom says it’s hard to photograph a tree with lights on it. I think it’s so pretty! Mom says it makes her happy when she looks at it.

I’ll let Mom tell you more about it.

I had a fake plant with a lighted string in this corner for many years, shown in the photo below. A few weeks ago, those lights died, and I couldn’t find another string that was light enough to work on the plant.

I needed something to light up that somewhat dark corner between our dining and living room, so I started looking at fake trees with lights. I had intended to get one with leaves, but kept going back to these little birch trees – and I’m so happy I did.

This little tree really brightens up that space. It lights up with solid white lights, solid multi-color lights, and several blinking configurations. I don’t much care for blinking lights, but I love it on the multi color setting. I bought a little basket to place it in, but you really don’t need that, it looked just fine even without.

I have it on almost all the time, and it’s especially pretty on cloudy, rainy days.

  1. What a nice idea for a dark corner of the room. It will be nice to change the lights for Christmas as well, (even thought I do not celebrate Christmas, I have Hanukkah). I see you are working on another puffed painting.
