I’m really happy this seemingly endless summer is coming to a close – which is unusual for me, because for most of my life, I used to be such a summer girl. Not anymore. As summers are getting hotter and hotter (and maybe, as I’m getting older,) I now find myself excited at the prospect of cooler weather.
I’m enjoying the subtle changes of the light this time of year brings. Some of the trees are taking on that late summer look of not quite ready to change, but not as vibrantly green as they were earlier in the summer. So this Labor Day, I find myself looking forward to fall.

Thank you for thinking of us with a chocolate cookie. I hope your Labor Day wkend was as nice as mine. I was at the AKC dog show from Thursday to Monday. I thought August was going to be the hottest month, but apparently not. I want spring weather, no cold weather for me.
