Claws Out is the ninth installment in Cate Conte’s cat cafe mystery series.
After a long, snowy winter on Daybreak Island, Maddie and her cat cafe crew are finally ready to embrace spring, when a generous donation has made her the co-owner of a traveling cat cafe truck. To kick off the new chapter, she seizes the chance to take the truck on its inaugural trip to a cat literary festival in Provincetown. When one of the participating authors is found murdered, Maddie and her cat cafe get drawn into the investigation.
The protagonist and all the other characters are well developed, the setting is interesting, and the story is well plotted and kept me guessing until the very end. I love reading series fiction, and I liked this book so much that I’m going to eventually read the other eight books in the series.
Claws Out is available from Amazon.

I just started reading “Cat About Town”, the first book in this series. Picked it up at Barnes & Noble when i fell in love with the kitty in the cover. I love so many cat mystery authors (especially Rita Mae Brown) … and halfway thru this book I’m already logging onto my library website to get the next one (Purrder She Wrote) !!! Cats, Coffee & Cape Cod … the purrfect trifecta
You’re lucky that the books are in your library system, Carol. So far, mine isn’t carrying them yet.
Sounds really good. I like the idea of a cat cafe truck.
