Speaking of unexpected kindness, last night I had been waiting hours in the waiting room at hospital while my husband had surgery. I was all alone and the other group of people were all together. No one talked to me and I was stressing and worrying why I couldn’t see my husband and why they kept him in recovery for so long. The other people had their family member’s surgery finished and were saying goodbye to each other. One lady turned to me and said she noticed I was alone and just hoped everything was ok with my family member. It wasn’t much to most people, but to me, it lifted my spirits a bit just to be talked to at the time and someone showing concern.
