We love Dezi & Roo toys because they are designed by a feline veterinarian who truly knows and understands cats. They’re made in the US by cat lovers like you and me, and they’re tested by professionals: real cats with strong opinions! We got to test one of their newest offerings, Silly Stix with Silvervine.
The vet behind Dezi & Roo is Dr. Lynn Bahr. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know her from the Ask the Cat Doc column we ran on The Conscious Cat. Dr. Bahr is a 1991 graduate of the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine and founder of Dezi & Roo, a company that designs, manufactures, and sells solution-based products that enhance the lives of cats and their humans.

About Silly Stix with Silvervine
Inspired by the classic candy, these Silly Stix are a straw full of scent enrichment for your cat.
Each Silly Stix is a paper straw filled with their lab-tested, 100% natural and safe Cloud Nine silvervine, a potent cat attractant that cats can’t resist. Silvervine offers a stimulating aroma that excites and engages cats, giving them a burst of playfulness and activity. It’s the perfect way to treat your cat while promoting exercise and mental stimulation.

Putting Silly Stix to the test
Allegra was immediately intrigued with the sticks. She likes for me to toss them for her, and of course, she likes to bat them underneath furniture and then watch me retrieve them.
Silly Stix are available from Dezi & Roo’s Etsy shop.

Just ordered some for Ozzie and Val. Thanks for the tip. Also, have you ever had them chew through the paper tube? Should we watch so they don’t eat the paper?
Allegra has chewed through the paper a couple of times. I doubt that she would actually eat the paper, and even if she did, tiny bits of paper shouldn’t cause a problem and would just be digested.
Thanks for the info, Ingrid. I assume if the silvervine spills out of the chewed tube, she either eats it, or you have to go grab the vacuum?
Looking forward to trying these.
Yes, it is safe to eat, or you can vacuum it up.
Dezi & Roo has wonderful well made products that my cats love! I have been ordering from Dezi & Roo for years, and I just placed my order for the Silly Stix, along with Roo’s Rock Candy and a Hide and Sneak tunnel. Thank you Ingrid for introducing me to this great Etsy shop!
I’m so glad your cats like the products!
I loved your comment about Allegra batting the Silly Sticks under the sofa to watch you retrieve them. She’s including you in her fun too.
She has me well trained…
