Hi everyone, it’s Allegra! I’m 14 years old today!

Mom has a really hard time wrapping her mind around the fact that I’m a senior kitty. Apparently, in human years, I’m 72. Hey, I’m older than Mom!

I certainly don’t feel like I’m 14, nor do I act like it most of the time. Okay, so maybe I sleep a little more than I used to, but I still play and I still sometimes get the zoomies and run through the house like I’m possessed.

I think  I’ve aged well, if I do say so myself. The birthday photo at the top of this post was taken a couple of weeks ago. I was about a year old in the photo below. What do you think?

Mom says we’re not going to think about how old I am. We’re going to celebrate my special day, and treasure every day that we’re together. I’m sure Ruby will be celebrating with us in spirit, so we better make sure there’s tuna cake!

  18. Happy happy birthday Allegra! You still look like a wee kitten, no sign of that older cat look some kitties get. I hadn’t realized you are the same age as our tortie girl, Ursula. I hope to be able to wish you many more happy birthdays. Time to celebrate!!

    • Have a glorious Happy Birthday and many more happies, a long and healthy life. I think you have aged extremely well. I do not see many changes. I am sure Ruby will be watching the party from above.
