Ruby-sun-puddle

It’s hard to believe that it’s going on four years now that I had to let Ruby go, and I still miss her every day. I’m grateful I have eight years of Ruby’s Reflections on this site to comfort me and remind me of some of the cute things she did, and I love sharing the memories with you.

The other day I was watching Allegra revel in one of her sun puddles. She knows exactly where in the house the first sun puddle of the day shows up, and she follows the sun all day long. And I remembered a post I wrote right around this time of year in 2019, just before Ruby was diagnosed with advanced kidney disease.

The post made me remember how the girls loved to lounge together in our sunny living room – a memory that brought tears as well as smiles.

  1. I miss that. My cats don’t follow the sun puddles. A couple of the ones who have passed did. I am glad you can look back. I sure know my photos I have comfort me.

  2. Nice to remember Ruby as a ray of Sunshine. Tasha will lay at the sliding glass door in the late morning to catch her rays.
