February 2024 Update: It appears that OKSOU, formerly Okaysou, has gone out of business. Their website no longer exists, and I have been unable to get in touch with my marketing contact. The good news is this an almost identical air purifier model is available from Levoit.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that I’m a big fan of OKSOU’s (formerly Okaysou) air purifiers. We already have four of them, one in our living room, one in the dining room, my bedroom, and one in our family room aka kitty playroom. I was delighted to get to try one of their newer models, the Apollo 630.

Putting the Apollo 630 to the test

I liked the simple, sleek design immediately. Like all of Okaysou’s models, this one is easy to assemble: all you have to do is take the filter out of the plastic wrap, re-insert it, and plug it in.

As with all Okaysou air purifiers, the first thing I noticed how quiet it is at low speed. When set to sleep mode, I found myself having to verify that it was actually on, it was so quiet. I really love that I can have the benefits of an air purifier without the white noise that some other brands have.

The wheel light on the front of the Apollo 630 subtly changes color from blue to green and back in a circle. It’s unobtrusive, but I wasn’t crazy about that feature. It turns off when you use sleep mode.

I’ve mentioned before that the biggest difference I’ve noticed since I started using Okaysou’s products is that I no longer wake up with a stuffy nose, a common occurrence most mornings prior to using these air purifiers. The difference has been dramatic, and I have to believe that that means that the air quality in my home in general is improved.

I’ve also noticed less dust on my shelves and knickknacks. I don’t have to dust quite as frequently – definitely a bonus as far as I’m concerned, but more importantly, it means that these air purifiers do what they’re supposed to do.

I keep the Apollo 630 in my living room, which is adjacent to the dining room, so I didn’t test it with litter box odors – not much of an issue with us anyway, since I pretty much scoop as soon as Allegra uses the box. It did a great job getting rid of cooking odors from the adjacent kitchen. If you’ve read my other air purifier reviews, you know that I really dislike having my house smell like dinner for hours after I finish my meal. The Apollo 630 performed as well in that regard as all the other Okaysou models.

  1. I tried last year to buy one per your recommendation. I went round and round with them. There is no live person to speak with, all they did was text and messenger. I want to ask questions about the different models, filters, etc.
